Prior to joining the Chamber staff, he served as the president and chief executive officer of the Natchez Chamber of Commerce and as executive director of the McComb Chamber of Commerce and Industrial Foundation – both in Mississippi. He has also served as director of program and corporate development on the United States Jaycees National Staff in Tulsa, Okla., and as executive vice president of the Mississippi Jaycees.
While at the Decatur-Morgan Chamber, John has served as chairman of the Chamber of Commerce of Alabama Association and received the Jamie Wallace Award as that organization’s outstanding executive. He also serves on the executive committee and board of directors of the Business Council of Alabama, recently receiving the Thompson Award as an outstanding leader in BCA. - Crystal Brown

Crystal Brown joined the Chamber staff in 2012. Previously, she was employed by The Decatur Daily for 18 years. In her position as advertising director, Crystal’s responsibilities included developing and leading a staff of 22 sales and support media consultants, as well as customizing marketing programs, launching and implementing new print and internet business development programs for retail and classified advertisers. Crystal also served as chairwoman of the board of directors for the Chamber in 2003-2004. Crystal’s current responsibilities include the retention and expansion of existing businesses, recruitment of new businesses and commercial investment, as well as coordinating business training/networking opportunities. Crystal graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in Communications. - Louise Moores Brown
Director of Community Development

Louise Moores Brown joined the Chamber staff in 2015. Before joining the Chamber, she was a registrar at the Morgan County Board of Registrars. She is a former small business owner as well as having served as a constituent liaison for State Sen. Arthur Orr. She also has past involvement with the Carnegie Visual Arts Center, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Morgan County, Hospice of the Valley, the Princess Theatre Center for the Performing Arts, Parents and Children Together (PACT), the Junior League of Morgan County and the Decatur-Morgan Hospital Foundation. Louise is a graduate of Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn., with a degree in English and a minor in political science. Her responsibilities include direction of the Chamber's leadership programs and coordination of the Commodore community ambassador program. -
Leissa Chittam
Chief Financial Officer

Leissa previously worked with Sunburst Bank in Mississippi, where she was responsible for the accounts payable department and facilitated the computerization of the department. Her responsibilities include managing the computer systems, the Total Resource Campaign program, and all financial aspects of the Chamber's operations. She is a 1999 graduate of the Institute of Organizational Management at the University of Georgia and a 2014 magna cum laude graduate of Athens State University where she majored in accounting.

Amelia Denslow

Amelia joined the Chamber staff in 2014 to fill a newly created position of director of administration. Before her time with the Chamber, she served in administration operations for a defense contractor in Huntsville, Ala. Prior to working in the Rocket City, she served similar roles in both the health care and engineering industries. Amelia is responsible for all administrative and logistical functions for the Chamber, as well as serving the same role for the Chamber's current capital campaign. -
Mandy Price
Director of Workforce and Education

You need JavaScript enabled to view it.Mandy joined the Chamber in 2014, having previously worked as executive assistant to the president and workforce development coordinator for Contractor Services & Fabrication, Inc., of Decatur. Among her responsibilities with Contractor Services were leadership and crew craft skills development, planning and directing programs to enhance the knowledge and skills of project managers and craft employees, and overseeing jobsite training coordinators and craft instructors in the delivery of National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER)-accredited development. She graduated from Athens State University in Athens, Ala., with a degree in business administration and is responsible for all workforce development and education initiatives for the Chamber.

Grant Thompson
Director of Communications

You need JavaScript enabled to view it.Grant Thompson joined the Chamber staff in 2013, having previously worked as a contractor in the Public Affairs Office for the U.S. Army Materiel Command (AMC), Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) and the U.S. Army Garrison - Redstone at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Ala., where he was responsible for social media strategy and online content. He graduated from Samford University in Birmingham, Ala., in 2000 with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communications, and is responsible for all communications strategy, messaging and media engagement for the Chamber.
