Total Resource Campaign
The Total Resource Campaign (TRC) is an organized nine week campaign during which Chamber members volunteer their time to help sell sponsorship opportunities and recruit new members. The annual campaign is the only time that the Chamber offers sponsorship opportunities to Chamber members, allowing businesses to plan their marketing budget and making them aware of Chamber programs. For more information about the TRC, contact Leissa Chittam at (256) 353-5312.
Check out a January 2015 blog post spotlighting the TRC and why it's important for your business' marketing and brand strategy to get involved.
Benefits of TRC
In addition to increasing non-dues funding, the TRC allows Chamber members to get involved with the Chamber and network with other business owners and professionals. The campaign also allows Chamber members to promote their business through sponsorships of Chamber events.
TRC Volunteers
The TRC is led by a chairperson and volunteers. All volunteers receive training prior to the TRC.
Benefits of being a TRC Volunteer include:
- Weekly cash incentives
- Free weekly reward luncheon for all volunteers
- Recognition at reward luncheons, the Directions business magazine and in the TRC section of the Chamber website
- Door prizes
- Enhance relationships with community leaders
- Networking with other Chamber Members
- Chance to earn a TRC Celebration Trip for you and a guest (past trips have included Atlantis Bahamas, San Francisco and Las Vegas)
Chamber Sponsorship Opportunities
The annual TRC gives Chamber members the ability to promote their business during Chamber events, with more than 400 diverse sponsorship opportunities available. Sponsorships range from $200 to $10,000. Companies choosing to sponsor an event are given a “right of first refusal” and opportunity to renew their sponsorships in early January.
Here’s what our TRC Volunteers have to say:
“Having volunteered in the Chamber’s Total Resource Campaign since the very first year, I can say it has been one of the most rewarding and fun experiences of my professional life. TRC has given me an opportunity to give back to the community by supporting the Chamber’s programs, which in turn help to make Decatur and Morgan County a better place to live work and play. TRC has also been a great opportunity to network with local businesses and other TRC volunteers.”
-- Linda Robinson
“Working in the TRC Campaign I have been able to reach people and companies that I would have never been able to outside this campaign. It gives you a better understanding of how our local Chamber works within the community, and personally I have developed some very close friendships all thanks to the Total Resource Campaign.”
-- Deanna Nelson, Regions Wealth Management
“Volunteering with the TRC Campaign allows me a fun way to network and meet many new people in the business community. Not only have I had fun, I have gained new clients, earned money, and received a free vacation to Atlantis!”
-- Ellen Didier, President, Red Sage Communications, Inc.
