Programs for Students with Disabilities

Mobility Opportunities via Education (MOVE), a nationally recognized program,  helps students with disabilities acquire increased independence in sitting, standing and walking to experience, learn and gain more mobility, better health and enhanced personal dignity.  The mission statement of MOVE is founded in the belief that the ability to move is the first foundation stone in building personal dignity.   Decatur City Schools is the only model site for the MOVE program in the state of Alabama.
