A HIGH QUALITY WORKFORCE
What separates Morgan County from other locations is its workforce, constantly praised for the quality and productivity of its workers. Alabama has consistently received national awards and recognition for its success in job creation.

Workforce Development
One of the reasons Morgan County continues to attract new and expand existing industries is because of the quality of its workforce.  Exciting partnerships and projects are developing and growing every day between the Chambers of Commerce, Economic Development Association, local businesses and industries, and secondary and post-secondary education systems in the county.

Alabama Industrial Development Training
In addition to Morgan County efforts, the state of Alabama has a recognized workforce training program.  This program, Alabama's Industrial Development Training (AIDT) program was ranked number one in the nation among workforce training programs according to a 2004 survey of industrial site selection consultants in Expansion Management Magazine.  AIDT provides a full range of customized technical training including management and supervisory training, TQM, ISO 9000 and trainee recruitment and screening.

Alabama Technology Network
The Alabama Technology Network of the Alabama College System links two-year colleges, the University of Alabama System, Auburn University and the Economic Development Partnership of Alabama to solve the needs of industry.  Each ATN regional center tailors its services to meet local needs, providing innovative and cost-effective solutions to enable Alabama's existing industry to be globally competitive.  The network is Alabama's affiliate of the National Institute of Standards and Technology's Manufacturing Extension Partnership, which provides hands-on assistance and training to smaller manufacturers and serves as the NASA Southeast Regional Technology Transfer Center affiliate for Alabama.  ATN links industry with technological resources from our network of universities, colleges, businesses and government to deliver the help you need to be more efficient, more productive and more competitive.

Alabama International Trade Center
The William R. Bennett Alabama International Trade Center, located at the University of Alabama, provides export research, training, and financing services to Alabama's small business community.  The Trade Center has been providing these valuable services to the public for over 25 years.  Its dedicated staff includes professionals that specialize in international sales, marketing, business strategy, banking and finance.
