Water, Water Everywhere 
Morgan County is located on the banks of the Tennessee River and Wheeler Lake providing endless opportunity for fishing, boating, water skiing and other activities.
National Fishing Tournaments such as the Bassmasters Top 150 and the FLW Series were recently hosted by Morgan County because of the prime fishing. 
Several marinas such as Riverwalk Marina, Brickyard Landing, Ingalls Harbor, and The Pirate's Chest Marina and RV Park provide a variety of services for boaters. 
Enjoy the Great Outdoors 
With 35,000 acres, Wheeler National Wildlife Refuge provides opportunities for observing wildlife, bird-watching, fishing, hunting, boating, and bicycling. A great place to go hiking, the Refuge has five interpretive hiking trails.
Watch woodland birds and waterfowl at eight different bird watching sites in Morgan County, part of the North Alabama Birding Trail.
Go camping or explore the bike trails at Point Mallard Campground, a rustic 210 site Good Sam campground.
