YOUTH ACTIVITIES
Morgan County is a very family-focused community. Nowhere is this revealed more than in the ongoing investment it makes in its many public Parks and Recreation facilities. Morgan County children and their families enjoy a multitude of activities and sports in beautiful, modern, and well-maintained facilities including ballfields, soccer fields, public swimming facilities and more. Decatur has established itself as the recreational capital of the Southeast for families and sports teams from around the country and around the world.

Sports
Sports are unequaled in Morgan County, Alabama. Local youth teams and their families gather regularly at the many state-of-the-art and well-maintained ball fields in Morgan County including Wilson Morgan Park in Decatur and Hartselle's Sparkman Park. These parks in addition to the world-class Jack Allen Recreational Complex and its 9 international size, lighted soccer fields with certified laser graded turf and internal drainage make Morgan County a sports tournament destination attracting softball, dodgeball, and soccer teams from all over the nation and the world. Teams and tournaments hosted at the Jack Allen Recreational Complex have included a match between the Mexican Women's National Soccer Team vs. Duke University Women's Team as well as the US Youth Soccer League's Region III President's Cup Tournament.
