Since he has been in office, Senator Richard Shelby has put Alabama and its workers ahead of all other things.
We just experienced that support recently with his willingness to stand up to special interest lobbyists representing business magnate Elon Musk, who would like nothing better than to shut down Decatur’s United Launch Alliance assembly site so his company – SpaceX – could have a monopoly on rocket propulsion. Senator Shelby’s work prevented that from occurring. Senator Shelby not only saved ULA jobs, but he ensured continuation of the security of our great nation during these troubled times.
Alabama, especially the Tennessee Valley, is the home of many defense contractors and other companies that support our military and its’ important mission. It is important, now more than ever, that we do everything we can to protect our country. Senator Shelby understands that.
We thank him for his service and for saving 800 jobs at ULA in Morgan County.
